Along with Soldera, Salvioni is my absolute favorite Brunello and one of my five favorite wines of all time. A tiny-production cult wine from just 4 hectares at La Cerbaiola: intense, perfumed, and built to age, with dark cherry, wild herbs, violets, and iron wrapped in firm, polished tannins. 97 points from both Vinous and Wine Advocate. Best drunk 2029-2045.
